Meet Engine Trackhub, a Frankfurt migration-planning practice focused on salary expectations and real household costs in Germany.
We started with a recurring question
“Is this a good salary for Germany?” sounds simple until the city, household, tax class, health insurance, commute, and housing standard enter the conversation. Engine Trackhub was formed in Frankfurt to give relocating professionals a useful answer without pretending that one national average can describe every life.
Our work sits before the move: when a person is comparing offers, negotiating compensation, or deciding how much cash the first month requires. We translate German payroll and rental vocabulary into a household plan, then label every estimate and assumption clearly.
Who leads the sessions
Mara Klein, relocation budget adviser, leads client consultations. Her background combines international mobility operations and employee-relocation cost planning in the Rhine-Main region. She is familiar with gross-to-net assumptions, statutory deductions, warm-rent listings, deposits, commuting passes, and the administrative sequence around arrival.
When a question needs regulated expertise—such as treaty taxation, visa eligibility, or an employment-law interpretation—we do not improvise. We point clients toward a tax adviser, immigration lawyer, or the relevant public authority.

Rent and household spending are not single numbers. We use comfortable, workable, and tight scenarios so that uncertainty remains visible.
Separate fact from assumption
Known compensation sits apart from estimated deductions. Current asking rents sit apart from a hopeful bargain. This makes the final budget easier to update.
Respect the actual household
A central apartment may matter more than a car. A partner may need months before finding work. Childcare can reshape the entire comparison. The plan follows those realities rather than a generic “expat” basket.
Keep sensitive records out
We need compensation details, not identity documents. Clients are encouraged to redact names, employer details, account numbers, and tax identifiers before sharing material.

Sessions are available online for moves to German cities and in person by appointment at our Frankfurt office. Our role is narrow on purpose: make the money side of the decision understandable while there is still time to ask better questions.
