Who this is for
This session is for an individual, couple, or family with a German job offer—or a credible salary range—who needs to know what daily life may cost before accepting. It is especially useful when the offer is quoted as gross annual pay and the destination city’s housing market is unfamiliar.
What we build together
Before the call, you complete a short questionnaire covering salary, work location, household size, church-tax status, health-insurance route, commuting preferences, debts, and the standard of housing you expect. Your consultant prepares a first-pass estimate, then tests the uncertain parts with you during the call.
We work from gross pay toward likely monthly net income. The budget then separates cold rent from utilities and heating, adds groceries, local transport, broadcasting contribution, communication, insurance, childcare where relevant, and a personal spending allowance. A conservative range is used where exact costs are not known.
What is included
- a 90-minute private call online or at our Frankfurt office;
- review of one employment offer and one German destination;
- an estimated monthly take-home range, with tax and insurance assumptions shown;
- three housing scenarios rather than one unrealistic rent figure;
- recurring expenses and one-off arrival costs;
- a PDF summary with a comfortable, workable, and tight monthly margin;
- one clarification email within seven days.
What is not included
Engine Trackhub does not provide tax, immigration, legal, investment, or regulated financial advice. We cannot guarantee a payslip amount, secure accommodation, negotiate with an employer on your behalf, or submit visa and residence applications. Complex cross-border tax cases should be reviewed by a qualified tax adviser.
Your consultant and preparation
The call is led by a Frankfurt-based relocation budget adviser familiar with German payroll terminology, rental listings, statutory insurance, and the practical costs of Anmeldung. Please bring the full compensation breakdown, destination or work location, expected moving month, and any fixed household commitments. Redacted documents are welcome; passport and banking details are not needed.
Timing and next step
Most clients book two to eight weeks before an offer deadline or contract start. After you inquire, we confirm whether your situation fits the session and offer appointment times. The fee is due only after a time has been agreed.
